As a miniature painter and oriental tales lover i really think that the art of this board game is superb: Rising Sun is a game about military and political sovereign in the feudal Japan with a fantasy flavour. You can use bushi, shinto and daimyo of your clan (every clan comes with special abilities!) to reach total control and destroy your opponents but you have to take care of demons (oni) and dragons too that will try to lure and shatter you! Basically you have to rebuild the Empire by honoring your favorite god (kami) and help them in the everlasting battle among divinities. Who will become the new shogun? This game is designed for 3-5 players and includes 48 fantastic miniatures and tons of tokens.
Basically the game follows the same format of Blood Rage, the one using viking clans instead of legendary japanese families. The art of this game is top notch and if you like to paint your miniatures, get yourself served with a really surprising and high quality choice. I am proud to see that this game was developed in my country, Italy, by Asmodee!
