Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection

Bitmap Books is an independent publisher of retro gaming books, founded by graphic designer Sam Dyer. Their goal is to deliver high quality books with interviews and a critique of the artworks. I know it's personal, because i love the Super Famicom console, but this book bring us some interesting titles with marvellous real size images. As a Super Famicom collector, i am always happy to find magazines or books that can add a bit of history behind the videogames industry: we are talking  about 20-25 years old games and it's not easy to find nostalgia edition of old paper works, so when i see a new one coming i always appreciate it. The Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection is a square hardback black book with 276 pages, only available in english, that features 250 games. If you think that this japanese version of our Super Nintendo had about 1500+ titles, you should realize that it's impossible to have a complete encyclopedia, so basically Bitmap Books went for a selection of titles. Maybe one day there will be the perfect guide to collect Super Famicom games, but let's not be greedy.

Stuart Brett, aka Super famicom Guy, talks about the story behind the book.

Extra:

Unmissable 16 bit pure love made by collectors for collectors; the foreword is written by Steve Jarratt, launch editor of Edge and Nintendo magazine Total!. The price for this product is around 30$ - 26/30€; if you consider that the Commodore 64 and the Commodore Amiga Bitmap Books are already sold out... you should... ok, i will not say it!
